Physics

On this page, all my non-published writings in physics are listed in chronological order, from the most recent investigations to the earliest attempts as you scroll down the page. This is my personal history, the journey of a physics student :) Hope you appreciate too, as I do, the beauty of growth. Click on the yellow keywords on the left to access the documents.

Report for my summer school project at DESY, 2021. A routine 'PS2TMD' is proposed to effectively reconstruct Transverse-Momentum-Dependent Parton Distribution Functions (TMD-PDFs) from Monte-Carlo Parton Showers. This allows direct comparison theoretical prediction given by Parton Branching (PB), which is based on DGLAP \ CCFM evolution. The effects of different MC generator configurations are studied.

Research review I wrote during my final year at Cambridge, 2021. The application of Lattice QCD in computing the Hadron Vacuum Polarization (HVP) term of muon anomalous magnetic moment (g-2) is discussed, including comparisons between different methods, performances of different quark flavors, and results from different LQCD groups across the world.

Report for my computational project during my final year at Cambridge, 2021. A numerical simulation of 2D and 3D Ising model is performed based on Metropolis algorithm in Python to investigate critical behaviors of simple ferromagnetic systems. 16x16,32x32,64x64 2D lattices and 16x16x16 3D lattice are studied for their decorrelation time, averaged magnetisation, specific heat, magnetic susceptibility, and critical components. Finite size scaling is also examined.

A review I wrote during QMUL particle physics summer school, 2019. A brief examination of past experimental evidences on symmetry violations is given with relevant experiments explained, including my favourite one - the Wu experiment with Cobalt - 60.
